Dreaming In Progress

Alrighty! The new site’s live, people have been settlin’ in, and we’ve been keeping an eye on what feels good, what still needs a bit of polish, and what the community wants to see next. So this month is mostly about keeping things moving, cleaning things up, and getting ready for the next round of events.

Now that the updated site is out in the wild and you’ve got your fingers all up inside its new features, we’re continuing to smooth things out.

Some of that work is just some small, little stuff, the kind of changes you may not even notice right away (or at all, if we’re doing our job right!), but that make the site feel better when you’re using it every day. Cleaner tools, easier navigation, little fixes, better flow and a whole lot of squashed bugs dumped out he window. All that good behind-the-scenes-sort-of work.

So if you’ve been poking around and noticing changes here and there, yep, that’s just us crawling through the pipes and tuning the machine.

We got two new models headed your way! Altair and Vega Lite! As with all our fresh model drops these new models are beasts of the best sort. Generative beasts!

Altair is our latest anime model with a polished hand drawn look. Inventive composition, bold, expressive features, smooth colors and a distinct anime aesthetic are the stars of the Altair show! If you’ve ever wanted a customized, colored manga panel look, there’s never been a better tool!

Vega Lite is our new furry model. It’s got a very sturdy underpinning of anatomy and species knowledge all wrapped up in the style of classic furry fandom art. A bit more animated than realistic, by default, but that crispy-clean line work makes it an excellent match for fursona reference image, model sheets or whatever else you want to toss its way!

These models are getting their final reviews to make sure that you can easily use them straight out of the box, so look forward to getting them into your dreams soon!

We got one more project to share with you in this scoop: Adventure Mode! This is going to be a new angle for our text models, not a conversation partner this time, but a storyteller!

With Adventure Mode, AI takes on the role of Game Master (or Dungeon Master if you’re more of a coastal wizard), and will guide you (and whatever cast of characters you decide to party up with) through adventures in collaborative storytelling, handling the game systems while you get to focus on the emerging narrative of your hero (or group of heroes or villains) and their daring deeds!

Keep your eyes peeled for more as we get ready to debut Adventure Mode for all you frosting fans to try out soon!

We don’t have some giant reveal to drop this month, but there’s still plenty cookin’ in Minotoro’s Kitchen™.

The team is looking at feedback and planning what comes next for models, tools, contests, and the overall site experience. Some updates will be small. Some will be a bit bigger. Big or small, though, out goal is the same, make Frosting easier and more fun for you all to use.

So, um, yeah! Stick around to see what comes next. We’re still building… and building… and building some more!

Oh, and, yeah! One last thing: keep on posting your work all over Frosting!

Our community is what makes Frosting feel alive. Every post, comment, favorite, contest entry, weird little experiment, heck, even posts and chats on the Discord adds to that! Even if you just want to mess around with a prompt, see what happens, then share what popped out, that’s all just another part of the fun.

Show us what you’re making. Show friends and followers what you’re making. Show EVERYONE what you’re making! We all love our chance to see it!
