This month we got a fresh, new contest and more previews for the upcoming Frosting 2.0, currently in the late stages of testing before you can get your paws on it!

Frosting 2.0 will be coming this month!

Alright, so this one is a big quality-of-life upgrade coming up in Frosting 2.0! Here’s your preview.

The new prompt tag autocomplete tool helps speed up your prompting by suggesting tags as you type. Just start writing, pick from the list, and you’re already halfway to the result you want.

The system pulls tags from a huge and powerful library, with lots of reference materials behind it. This way, AI has a much better idea of what you’re going for.

And don’t you worry, this doesn’t lock you into only using autocomplete tags. Frosting can still understand custom prompts and weird niche tags just fine. The autocomplete is to help, not get in the way.

Last month we told you about some the new Frosting 2.0 tools that let you save your favorite prompts or search through your recent Dreams for easy access. Well, now you get to SEE them!

You can save prompts, name them, label them and search for them to easily load them into your Dreams for even faster generations!

You can track down your generations by letting Frosting search through your dreams for any term you want (for star tier and above). Colors, poses, or anything you can imagine, this new tool will help you spot it quick!

The snow’s melting, the sun’s out, and the Frosting Resort is officially open for the season!

This time, the theme is all about the Frosting Resort, a giant cosmic getaway full of beaches, nightlife, relaxation and probably at least one person getting too competitive over beach volleyball.

Grab your favorite models, throw your characters into vacation mode and show us what kind of hijinks they get up to at the resort!

We grabbed some time with @Melynx to ask him your burning questions and learn the secrets of one of Frosting’s masterful makers. Check out what he had to say!

Q. How has your style or medium evolved over time, and what drove those changes?
A. I’d say my styles, or preference for styles, has remained static, but how they actually turn out has changed over time with the new models, discovering new prompt key words that work well, and mixing other style prompts into what I already have to see how things are effected. I’d say the biggest changes come from the new models however, they allow for whole new worlds of creativity!

Q. Can you describe your creative process? How do you approach starting and completing a new piece?
A. A LOT of the time... the process starts with... "Can I make this work?" Usually following up events in or just playing different games and whatnot!
Oldschool Runescape, for instance, has been the inspiration for a few fun and interesting pieces!
After that, I tend to think of what sort of style would best suit the "vibe" I'm going for... colorful and vibrant, dark and muted, realism or animated, so on.
The hardest part, in my opinion, is turning the idea into words, or the prompt. As much as Frosting takes care of creating the image, guiding it to create what you envisioned is the most challenging aspect, however, it is also the most rewarding when a piece finally comes together!

Q. Mel Mel Mel… what inspired your style? It’s one of the most recognizable on frosting, what’s your process when ya make ‘em? (@Salt_uwu)
A. Oh for the luva... I'll be entirely honest, I always try to mess with different styles, tweaking small things here and there to come up with something that fits my preferences, but is also unique! I certainly do see others post in amazing styles and sometimes use the images to... try to see about how I can tweak my prompts to get similar effects, but ultimately, the things I end up posting are simply based on preference!

Q. Does the fox with the blue hair have a story? She's so pretty I love her!
A. Nothing too terribly exciting, Mel/Melissa was just the first thing I did on frosting when I started! Back when I was a free tier newbie, I wanted a character that was simple so I can more consistently get the image to turn out... years later, they're still probably the most frequently posted characters I've messed with! Thank you!
