Welcome back to The Frosting Scoop!

We’re also kicking things up a notch with our social media presence! Be sure to follow Frosting on both Instagram: frosting_ai and Twitter: frosting_ai, where we’ll be spotlighting art from all of you, our talented community. These account are dedicated to showcasing your creativity, featuring art in every style imaginable, from furry to photorealistic and beyond.

Finally, for all those interested, we’re happy to share that we’ve set up a Minecraft Server: mc.frosting.ai where members of the community can engage in a whole different sort of creativity! Whether it be a mountaintop fortress, a subterranean lair or just a cozy cottage by a lake, come join us as we explore an expansive world together and leave your mark on the landscape! Just watch out for those darn exploding creepers…

February Hangout

This February the 2nd we'll have the first Monthly Frosting Hangout! There will be one starting at 6pm PST and another one starting at 6pm UTC. We'll have some cool art challenges and games for you all. Come join us for a fun-filled evening!

COMMUNITY CURIOSITIES

We got some time with Mr. Diddles and the ever-chipper Red Panda was kind enough to answer all our questions with a smile! Check out some of the highlights below:

Q. Can you describe your creative process? How do you approach starting and completing a new piece?
A. “To start off, I like to explore through e621 to get ideas. Especially through their daily popular tab to get ideas of characters, poses, and other concepts. Once I get some good ideas, I write down prompts and test how they work. I try to get the best picture and once I get something I’m satisfied with, I manually edit the picture to get rid of the watermark, then fix the eyes, and just like that I’m ready to upload the picture!”

Q. What challenges do you face as an artist, and how do you overcome them?
A. “There are times where I struggle with motivation due to the lack of time I have due to being busy with work, school, family, etc. (especially as of recently) I try my best to give myself some time off to focus on myself and making sure I take care of the most important things I need to take care of first so that when I do continue to work on frosting it gives me more of a drive.”

Q. There are a lot of different AI out there. What made you choose Frosting and why do you keep using it?
A. “I discovered frosting about a year and a half ago, and at the time I really didn’t know about any other AI websites. I found out frosting one day and found out it was free to use, whenever I found a website, it would cost a hefty amount for a subscription or I would have to pay a lot of money just for a limited amount of generations. I don’t have a fancy computer that could handle these other AI programs either. Being able to go to this website and create an image for free is what really put the nail on the coffin. And the reason I still use it to this day is because of community, the friends and the following I’ve gained, and I truly believe that frosting is going to become so much bigger if not better than the other AI out there!”

Q. Where id you come up with the name Mr. Doddlez?

A. “I didn’t come up with the name Mr. Diddlez, it actually comes from Ray Narvaez Jr. (phenomenal streamer, check him out!) from when he was part of Rooster Teeth. He created this wrestling character in this WWE game I just thought to myself, “That name was funny as hell, why not use that?” And that’s how Mr. Diddlez came to life!”

Q. Do it jiggle?
A. “Oh it jiggle! 😳”
