April Hangout Recap

Wow. Just wow. The April Frosting Hangout smashed records with more attendees than ever before, our biggest event ever! From the randomized prompt challenges in the speed-gen contests, the talent on display was absolutely next level. Everyone who joined unlocked access to premium generation models during the event—and you all made incredible use of them. Major props to all the first-time participants who dove in headfirst.

COMMUNITY CURIOSITIES

We sat down with one of Frosting’s most beloved community leads, Mure (renaenjoyer), to learn more about their creative process, inspirations, and journey on the platform. Here are a few highlights from the chat:

Q: What’s your process when starting a new A.I. art piece?
I usually start with an idea, something fun, creative or sexy that I want to make and lay down the prompts for it. After couple of sets of generation, I'll fix the prompts to more to my liking. Sometimes my idea gets more refined from the images that the AI generates for me.

Q: What’s the biggest challenge you face as an artist and community manager?
Probably balancing the time between creating new stuff and working on the community. I might be too diligent of a person, so I haven't really had time to focus on my creations and evolving my style like before. I'll make sure to try and dedicate more time for AI creation again.

Q: Any advice for newcomers starting on Frosting?
Just have fun with it and refine your style when you feel like it! Don't compare yourself to others too much and learn from what they have made. Followers and likes are just numbers, go on to the next idea when you have one! Enjoy the creation process instead of stressing out because of it.

Q: How has your journey with Frosting been? And were you always a mod or had you started as a regular user?
My journey with Frosting has been pretty long already at this point (almost two years!) and I've loved it from the very start! I started as a regular user and I was really active on the Frosting Discord. Eventually, Mino asked me to do some minor stuff which I loved and after some time and more tasks I became the 2nd ever Frosting mod. Currently, I'm the oldest (not by age) active Frosting mod and I try to make sure that Frosting will do great in the future as well!
