This month, we sat down with ShaitanSedai (legendary loop artist and community favorite) to dig into their creative mind. Here’s what they had to say:

Q: Can you describe your creative process?

“Most of the time, I get a bug and go: "I want to see if I can make that work!" From start to finish my thought process is very logical and goes through a very straight forward path. So say I want a specific pose, let's see what this pose is called, then let's see if that pose is tagged in e621 (since I mostly use furry models). If it isn't, what can I use to recreate that pose? So on and so forth! Regarding OC's. Thats more of: oh I think that would be cool let's see if i can make it work!”

Q: How did you figure out how to make loops so well? (from @salt_uwu)

“I always use a base image and most of of the vids have been made on Polaris (the SFW one). After the base image I focus on what I want. For example the Alasia (my main dragon OC) one in the ocean, I wanted a playful mode of her. So I focused on playing, splashing, and having a good time. The rest was all up to the AI. Since they use actual language and not just tags, its good to use clear concise language to convey what you want.”

Q: What challenges do you face as an artist?

“Burn out, burn out, burn out! This is my major issue. I will run into instances of not knowing what to do because I feel like I've already done it. Most of the time to combat this is step away, do some things that aren't related to Frosting (making AI music, painting miniatures, gaming). The spark always comes back, but that Burn Out feeling is real!”
